POVERTY REDUCTION
The average Ethiopian exists on just £1 a day and 39% of the population live below the poverty line. It needn't be like this.

We support projects that work to provide not just a living, but also a livelihood for people in desperate need. From a small community centre for destitute elders to a project that is building safe homes with the help of local people, our projects are working tirelessly to provide the basic facilities and provisions that many of us take for granted.

With your help they can continue to do this and raise people in Ethiopia out of poverty.

CHAD-ET (Children Aid Ethiopia)
Chad-Et provide a safe place for children at risk of abuse, particularly child prostitution. They campaign on legal issues, provide legal advocacy for the children where needed and perform educational theatre productions to local communities.

Destitute Elders Welfare and Development Association
This project provides pensions and basic provisions to over 1000 destitute elders who have no income and nobody else to turn to.

Facilitators for Change Ethiopia
Many women in Ethiopia are the only breadwinners for their families. FCE provides temporary loans to give these women the chance to set up their own businesses and earn a decent living.

Eneredada Elder People Association
Eneredada run a day centre for elderly Ethiopians who are no longer able to support themselves. They also provide their beneficiaries with clothing, food and medicine and a chance to regain their dignity.

St Francis Integrated Development Organisation (FIDO)
FIDO works with local community members on construction projects to provide basic facilities such as housing, running water and electricity.

We also support projects which focus on health and poverty reduction initiatives. For more information, please click on the links below.
